Wildlife photographer/author Marie Read’s  distinctive images of birds, many of which were taken in her bird-friendly backyard near Ithaca, New York, appear in magazines, books and calendars worldwide. She has authored many articles about birds and their behavior, as well as four books including most recently “Into The Nest” (coauthored with Laura Erickson) and has been an invited speaker at numerous bird clubs, birding festivals and gardening clubs. She’s currently working on a how-to book about bird photography.
