Ithaca Native Landscape Symposium 2024

INLS 2024: March 1st
Cinemapolis, Ithaca, NY
INLS List of Events 2024.png

Greetings INLS People!

Yes, REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

We are happy to share that INLS is back in person, and we look forward to seeing you in Ithaca on Friday March 1st. Yes, we are returning to Cinemapolis Theater, just off the Ithaca Commons, where our event has been held for several years.

New this year: we are going with a 1-day presentation format only, and we are offering a live feed/Zoom option for those of you who can't make it in person.

The single day format will feature 6 speakers, and as in the past, Landscape Architects will receive continuing education credits for all presentations. In addition, we are planning a fundraiser for Friends of Stewart Park in Ithaca, on the Thursday evening before INLS, also at the Cinemapolis theater. This is an optional event, open to the community at large, and will include an artistic and musical component. Some of you may remember we did this a few years before Covid...the event is free with a suggested donation. More details later.

Friday after INLS, we will have a happy hour at one of the nearby establishments--we will choose a place that is close enough that anyone who wants to walk there can do so. A block or two at most.

Another new feature of INLS this year is a Saturday morning guided bird walk in Stewart Park (March 2nd, not too early in the morning...). Stewart Park is well known as a wonderful location to view water fowl and other birds. This will be a free event as well, optional of course, and also open to the community at large.

We are also offering a zoom option at the same price as in-person registration.  We understand that the zoom option has become a convenient and sometimes necessary alternative but we miss seeing everyone in person and the sense of community that had become such an important part of our symposium.

We will begin sharing more details as we get closer to the date, specifically regarding zoom link info but also any updates on speakers, as well as info on the Thursday evening and Saturday morning extra-curricular activities.

We look forward to seeing everyone in March!
